CHANDLER, AZ, April 25, 2006 Eileen Spitalny and David Kravetz,
co-founders of Fairytale Brownies – a gourmet chocolate brownie company – have been recognized as the
2006 Arizona
Small Business Person of the Year.
Thousands of small business owners throughout the state of Arizona were reviewed by the U.S. Small Business
Administration for the consideration of this title, yet Eileen Spitalny and David Kravetz stood out from all the
rest. Their hard work, innovative concepts, and deep devotion to the community have given them, and their company,
ongoing success since launching Fairytale Brownies in 1992.
Eileen Spitalny and David Kravetz, childhood friends and co-founders of Fairytale Brownies, bake their indulgent
treats using a secret family recipe belonging to David’s mother. Made from all-natural ingredients, including
Belgian Callebaut chocolate, Fairytale Brownies come in 12 delicious flavors, including Toffee Crunch, Caramel,
and Raspberry Swirl, and three sizes (regular, Sprites, and Magic Morsels). Each brownie is handcrafted,
individually wrapped, certified kosher, and can ship worldwide.
At National Small Business Week in Washington, D.C. April 12-13, 2006, Eileen and David’s achievements and
contributions to America’s economy were honored at a luncheon with President George W. Bush.
